Flood Warning LinksThe National Weather Service (NWS) issues hydrologic and meteorologic (hydromet, for short) forecasts, watches and warnings. Only the NWS can issue official Flood Watches and Flood Warnings to the public. Offices with responsibility in Arizona are in Phoenix, Tucson, and Flagstaff, as well as Las Vegas, Nevada, and Salt Lake City, Utah. NWS offices are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They rely on weather information from a number of different sources, including ALERT data.
